What have I been doing with my time lately?

That's right, folks. I am attempting to make Christmas stockings. I was thinking about making 5 or 6 total (for future kids), and I am going to end up with 8.
Am I jynxing myself here? I dunno...maybe!
I will post some pics soon.
For now, I am enjoying the sewing machine my mother-in-law gave us for a Wedding gift. It has been in the box these past few months, so I finally got it out, read through the User's Manual and got to work yesterday! It is quite fun, although being the perfectionist I am...I get upset when things don't go according to plan. However, I don't really consider myself a beginner seamstress, either. I am probably a novice, and happy to be one.
This is just the start of my projects (Steven...beware).

ambitious! 6 kids in the future, eh? Wooo! I bet they'll be adorable. (the stockings and the kids).
Well, learn to not be frustrated at your early faults and mistakes and the fact that your projects won't start out perfect...I only got so many pep talks in me :)

Oh my gosh... I completely forgot that we took that sewing class together! That was SOOOOO much fun! Please please PLEASE tell me that you are using the same stocking pattern that we used in the class!
We didn't have a pattern for stockings in THAT class (& it was fun...I forgot you were in it, too....Penny, too!!)...didn't we just make a pillowcase, skirt, vest, & PJ pants? NO STOCKINGS!! It took me forever to find a pattern online that looked "normal"!
Ambitious! I've always wanted a sewing machine but don't think I have the patience to actually create anything! Can't wait to see the stocking pictures!

No way... we totally made Christmas Stockings in that class! It's the ONLY time I ever made a Christmas stocking AND I kept the stupid pattern for YEARS! I think I just got rid of it last year.
