Places, Places, PLACES

Just a few of the things we will be seeing shortly.

See if you can guess them all (or at least the countries we'll be visiting):

1.
2.
3.
4.

Do I get to guess? I mean, I DO know where you're going, so would that be fair? Okay, okay. I'll just do my best to name the places in the pictures, not where they are located.

1. I know it is a Roman aqueduct. I think that particular one is one of the oldest, most complete ones still standing, right?

2. Neuschwanstein Castle. In Bavaria. Built to be the fairy tale castle of a crazy duke. While it probably sucked that he was mad, I won't complain that he left behind such an incredibly beautiful structure. I'm jealous!
(Can you bring me back a Bavarian creme doughnut, btw?)

3. I'm gonna guess Auschwitz? Wow. That would be a life-changing experience!

4. La Torre de Eiffle. Try to get lots of great photos from that height!

5. The Louvre. I hear the Mona Lisa is disappointingly small. Still. How cool is that?!

6. I'm gonna say, the palace at Versailles? (Said with the proper pronunciation, not the Missourian, "Ver-sails.") The grounds are supposed to be very extensive, so I know it's a lot of walking, but SO worth it, from what I hear.

7. Okay, I'll admit. I have no clue on this one. It really just looks like a typical Western European town. Still, it looks like it would be a fantastic place to go.

I should get a prize.

Okay, whatever.

Have a wonderful trip!!! :)

Elise made such good guesses, I'm just gonna say have a great trip and I'm glad you haven't abandoned your blog entirely, if only because it means that you'll (hopefully) blog this trip for us to enjoy vicariously :)

Elise- pretty darn close. These numbers still need work, though:

#3, #6, #7 (#1 still needs a name!!)

Anyone else care to try???

(Hmmm... it may not be fair since Stevie-boy posted all the cities you'll visit, but oh well. Here are my modified guesses:)

#1: I didn't name it before because I had no clue where it was actually located. I just wanted to identify what it was. Thanks to Steven, I'll guess it's in Reims. (Actually, I think this aqueduct DOES have a name, but I can't remember what the name is...)

#3: Dachau.

#6: French Riviera.

#7. Toledo? (I'm still a little vague on this one, but that's my best guess out of the cities Steven named.)

Whatever the case, they all look like absolutely fantastic places to see! And I'm with Juli- since I can't go with you directly, I'd love to enjoy the trip vicariously via your blog! :)
